Thumper was from Michael Book and Barbara Biewer’s Sunfire Kennels. A strong well put together bitch, with a mind of her own, she was the first dog Virginia trained for field work. She loved gundog stakes and although the AKC Hunt Test program started late in her life, she did earn her SH title. Together she and Virginia trained and earned their Am. and Can CD, albeit doing it Thumper’s way.
